Dr. Toan N Tran

Toan first completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) in 1980, before migrating from Vietnam to Australia in 1983. He subsequently completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide before opening his practice in Pennington in 1994, where he has been servicing the community’s dental needs since.
He has been involved with teaching and training local dental students through his role as a tutor with the University of Adelaide and his previous long-standing role in the South Australian Dental Service. He is an active member of the Australian Vietnamese Health Professionals Association of SA and was a speaker for the 12th International Convention of the Vietnamese Physicians in 2014.
Toan enjoys all aspects of dentistry, including preventative, crown & bridge and oral surgery. He particularly excels in dentures and repairs as reflected by consistent positive patient experiences. He ensures that his knowledge and skills are up-to-date by regularly attending continuing professional development courses throughout the year.
He remains passionate about providing high quality and effective care, though does make time to balance work with spending time with his family as well as his interests in playing the guitar and gardening.
Dr. Toby N Tran

Born and raised in Adelaide, Toby has always had an interest in healthcare and helping people achieve their health goals, and this forms the basis of his patient-centred care approach to practicing dentistry. He initially completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy at the University of South Australia in 2008 and worked as a community pharmacist for a number of years. He then moved to Victoria to complete a post-graduate Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Melbourne in 2016 and was awarded the Dean’s Honours for outstanding results in his final year. He subsequently worked in private practices across Adelaide before joining TNT Family Dental Care in 2018.
Toby enjoys all aspects of dentistry including preventative, cosmetic and teeth coloured fillings. His calm and gentle approach ensures patients of all ages from young children to older members of the community are comfortable and relaxed throughout their dental experience. He attends regular continuing professional development courses and is an active member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA) to ensure his knowledge and skills are current.
Since returning to Adelaide, he and his wife have enjoyed spending time with their friendly pug Luca.
